BC Centre for Women in Trades (BCCWITT) is a partnership led by women from the trades, along with industry and labour representatives, committed to increasing the proportion of women and other underrepresented people entering and finding success in the skilled trades.

BCCWITT is leading the cultural shift that is needed to achieve this—our work is focused on creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive skilled trades industry, where all feel welcome, healthy and safe. BCCWITT provides connection, resources and supports for tradeswomen across the province. In addition, we work provide individualized supports to women facing barriers to training or employment in the trades. We are always looking for new employer partners to work with to provide employment opportunities for women.

BCCWITT also offers programs, tools and resources to individuals and trades organizations that support the attraction, retention and advancement of women in skilled trades careers. The Be More Than a Bystander program, focuses on addressing gender-based bullying, harassment and violence in the trades and is a mandatory training session for all BCIB employees.
