Brake check and 4-laning 

The Illecillewaet brake check project near Revelstoke was the first project delivered under B.C.’s Community Benefits Agreement. The project has delivered on its promise: improving our infrastructure and directly benefiting the people who built it. 

The project extended the existing brake check area. It also involved four-laning a two kilometre section of Highway 1 east of Revelstoke.
