We work with contractors to hire skilled tradespeople who live within 100km of a project.

You don’t need to be a member of a union to apply. When you’re hired, you’ll join an Affiliated Union, giving you access to benefits like a pension, healthcare, and mental health supports, including access to substance use treatment.

All BCIB workers get our Respectful Onsite Initiative training. The goal is to create welcoming jobsites that are free of discrimination, harassment, and bullying. Our workers are helping build safer, more inclusive, and more respectful places to work.

We connect trades workers to training opportunities. We connect apprentices and trainees to job opportunities across a network of projects and to continuous union sponsorship so they can become a journeyperson faster.
