Highway 1: Kicking Horse Canyon Phase 4 Project

Located east of Golden, BC, along the Trans-Canada Highway, the Kicking Horse Canyon Phase 4 project will widen and modernise the currently rugged road. This final stage of the project will complete the network of improvements in the area, transforming the approximately 26 km stretch of highway into a four-laned, 100 km/hr standard route. With 30% of the traffic consisting of commercial vehicles, these upgrades will not only assist with connecting local communities, but more effectively facilitating interprovincial and international trade.
